Veteran’s Day Celebration
Dear Parents and Students,
The concert is just around the corner! Here are some of the important details:
Wednesday,
November 11th
Johnsburg
High School Auditorium, 7:00 p.m.
Arrival time for students is 6:45 p.m.
(Students with speaking parts need to arrive at 6:35
p.m.)
Attendance: The students have been working very hard
getting ready for the upcoming performance.
It is very important that students attend the concert. Since we are working together as classes for
this concert, we have been discussing how teamwork is related to music. In order for us to do the best we can,
everyone needs to be there to help!
Arrivals: Students
need to report to their class section in the auditorium at 6:45 p.m. for
attendance.
IF YOU ARRIVE EARLY: Students may either stay with their parents or
sit in their class section until 6:45
p.m.
*PLEASE DO NOT HAVE STUDENTS ON STAGE
DUE TO KEEPING THE PROPS AND MUSIC EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR THIS SHOW SAFE.*
Students with
speaking parts will need to arrive at 6:35 p.m. to check-in with Mrs. Mrazek in
the auditorium. This is to make sure all of the students with parts are present
(in case a student is ill, we will need to have that part covered by someone
else).
What to Wear: Students may wear red, white, and blue for
this concert. An example of nice clothes
for boys might be either black pants or khakis with a shirt, dresses or skirts
for girls (unless they would rather wear pants), or even a nice pair of blue
jeans with a nice shirt will be fine for either.
Videotaping: There will not be a DVD made for this
concert, so please plan accordingly.
Ice Cream
After the Concert: The Johnsburg
PTO will be selling ice cream sponsored by Dairy Queen in the high school
cafeteria after the concert. Please
be sure to bring cash if you are planning to buy any. Each ice cream treat will cost $2.00. Treats will include Dilly Bars, StarKiss
Bars, DQ Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Buster Bars.
Rehearsal During the Day/Assembly: We will be having a rehearsal at the high
school the day BEFORE the concert. This
is to go over where the students will sit, how to walk in, and practice the
songs to get used to being in the auditorium.
For this, we will need to ride buses to the high school and back. The students will be gone for the practice
from 9:00-10:30 in the morning.
Also, we will be having an all school assembly from 2:15-2:45pm on
Wednesday, November 11 (the day of the concert) for the third grade students to
sing for the fourth and fifth grade.
This will be more of a practice assembly for the third grade classes.
**If you are a parent or know
someone who cannot make it to the concert at night, you may come for this
school assembly. However, there is
limited room and we encourage family and friends to see the evening concert.**
